FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers on booking, pricing, insurance, and what to expect when you hire Event Bartenders for your Denver-area event.
Booking & Getting Started
How do I hire a bartender for my event?
Fill out our quote form with your event date, guest count, and a bit about your event, and we'll walk you through the booking process — usually within one business day. All you need to bring is the alcohol; we handle the rest.
How far in advance should I book a bartender?
We recommend booking 4-8 weeks out for most private events, and 3-6 months out for weddings and peak-season dates (May-October) to guarantee availability.
How do I know my event is booked?
Once your event is scheduled, we'll send a proposal with the full details. You'll receive an invoice by email once the proposal is confirmed and payment is received — if you don't see it, check your spam folder.
Can I add additional options to my package after booking?
Yes — it's still possible to add or change event details after booking. Just contact us and we'll work with you to adjust your package; additional costs are itemized on your invoice.
What's Included
Do you provide the alcohol?
In most cases you provide the alcohol and we provide the licensed staff, bar equipment, mixers, and garnishes — this keeps costs lower and avoids liquor-license complications. Fully hosted packages are available on request.
What do the bartenders bring?
Our bartenders bring the basic tools needed to serve cocktails, wine, and beer, plus any extra materials specified by the bar package you selected. Need something specific? Let us know at booking and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Can I request the same bartender for a future event?
If you've worked with a bartender you loved and want them again, just mention their name when you request your next quote and we'll do our best to make it happen.
Trust, Licensing & Insurance
Are your bartenders licensed and insured?
Yes — every bartender we place is TIPS-certified and covered under our liquor liability insurance, which we can provide documentation for to your venue if required.
How do I know I can trust Event Bartenders staff?
Every bartender who works with us passes a background check with no criminal charges on record, plus extensive training to keep our staff among the best in Denver.
What insurance do you carry?
We carry a Liquor Liability policy (Bartending Services class, Colorado) with $1,000,000 per-occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate limits, plus a General Liability policy with Inland Marine coverage of $5,000 per-occurrence / $10,000 aggregate. Policy documentation is available on request.
Pricing, Gratuity & Payment
Will there be gratuity included in my package pricing?
Gratuity isn't automatically included — you can add it during booking if you'd like. Note that some venues don't allow tip jars due to local liquor-service rules; if your event is at one of those venues, a 20% gratuity (based on total package price) is billable at the end of the event or with final invoice payment.
Will my bartender be allowed to have a tip jar?
You can choose whether guests can tip your bartender directly, or include gratuity in your event total, at the time of booking. Some venues restrict tip jars due to city-specific liquor laws — where that applies, a 20% gratuity is billed instead.
Changes, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Will I be able to extend the hours of bar service after my event has started?
Yes — we're happy to extend service time. Additional hourly pricing is detailed in your proposal; if you request more hours once your event is already underway, we'll issue an updated invoice reflecting the change.
What do I need to do if I need to cancel my event?
Contact us as soon as possible and we'll remove your event from our calendar. Cancellation terms are detailed in your proposal document.
How do I reschedule my event?
See the cancellation and rescheduling terms in the proposal sent to you at booking, or contact us directly and we'll help you find a new date.
Service Area
What areas do you serve?
We serve the full Denver metro area, including Aurora, Lakewood, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker, and surrounding suburbs.
